Translation services at a glance

From ISO 17100-compliant translation and revision and machine translation post-editing (MTPE) to creative transcreation, we offer tailor-made solutions for your requirements.

Our services range from translation only to multi-stage quality assurance processes and adaptation to cultural and linguistic particularities. Depending on the project and its goals, different services can be combined flexibly to ensure the highest linguistic and technical precision.

Here is an overview of our range of services:

1. Translation only

Simple translation without additional revision or proofreading.

2. Translation and revision (ISO 17100-compliant)

Translation followed by revision by a second linguist to ensure accuracy, style and quality.

3. Machine translation post-editing (MTPE, ISO 18587-compliant)

Editing of machine-generated translations by professional linguists to ensure quality and readability.

  • Light post-editing (light MTPE): minimal intervention to improve comprehensibility.
  • Full post-editing (full MTPE): comprehensive editing for linguistic accuracy, fluency and natural expression.
  • MTPE plus proofreading: post-editing by one linguist, followed by proofreading by a second linguist for the highest linguistic quality.

4. Localisation and transcreation

Linguistic and cultural adaptation of content for the target market, with greater creative freedom than classic revision.

  • Localisation: adaptation of terminology, units, idioms and cultural references to address the target group authentically (for example for software, websites or marketing texts).
  • Transcreation: creative translation that goes beyond word-for-word transfer to convey the desired emotional effect and brand message in another language (for example for advertising copy, slogans or campaigns).

5. Proofreading

Checking and correcting a translated or original text for grammar, spelling and style.

6. Editing

More in-depth than proofreading: adjusting style, consistency and readability for a fluent, natural text, but without moving away from the content of the source text.

7. Linguistic sign-off (LSO)

A final check before publication to ensure the layout, formatting and correct display of the translated content.

8. Specialist review of technical content

Review of technical translations by specialists, for example in:

  • engineering
  • medicine and pharmaceuticals
  • law and finance
  • IT and software
  • agriculture
  • chemistry

All our translation services comply with ISO 9001, 17100, 18587 and 27001 for the highest quality, consistency and data security.
