Three client profiles at a glance
At Global Mundi, we support companies at every stage of their internationalisation, from their first translation needs to complex multilingual project structures.
In general, our clients’ needs fall into three typical profiles:
1. Companies without in-house translation experience
This group is often facing the challenge of having content translated professionally for the first time. There are no terminology lists, style guides or in-house translation teams. They are often small and medium-sized companies, start-ups or newly founded export departments that need language versions at short notice, for example for websites, product catalogues or international business correspondence.
Our support:
- advice on the best project workflow
- creation of glossaries and style guides
- project management and quality assurance
- translations in line with ISO 17100, by specialist translators, reviewed and documented
- an introduction to the professional handling of language and CAT tools
- use our practical checklist for translation orders (in German) for a smooth start
Goal: to ensure quality and offer a comprehensive all-round solution.
2. Companies with project structures but no language expertise
These clients have experience with multilingual documentation but no translators of their own. They are often technical writers, assistants, project managers or corporate language managers who know exactly how content should be structured but are not familiar with translation technology or linguistic subtleties.
Typical features of this group:
- existing style guides and corporate identity guidelines
- specific terminology requirements
- a need for implementation in line with standards (for example ISO 17100 or ISO 18587)
- a demand for consistent, technically accurate translations
Our services:
- translations to clear specifications in the company’s own style
- terminology management in close coordination
- project handling with modern CAT tools
- post-editing of machine translation (to ISO 18587)
- seamless integration into existing company processes
Goal: professional implementation of all requirements, even without an in-house language team.
3. Companies with their own language department or experienced project managers
These companies have in-house translators or experienced project managers with linguistic know-how. What they are looking for are selective, specialised services, for example for certain language combinations, external quality assurance or technological support.
Typical services for this group:
- building and maintaining terminology
- technical post-editing of machine pre-translations
- integration and optimisation of CAT tools (for example Trados Studio, memoQ, Across)
- proofreading and revision based on the four-eyes principle
- advice on quality assurance and process audits
Goal: to complement existing structures efficiently with external expertise.
